Stable Android 4.2.2 ROM for the HTC Sensation
After I have been using Sense ROMs for a long time, I decided to "make a journey abroad".
On my Nexus 7 I'm using Android 4.2.2 - and I'm very satisfied with it. I decided to try this Android release also on my HTC sensation.
On xda-developers I spotted a ROM which is based on CyanogenMod 10.1 (Android 4.2.2) and supports all the hardware of the Sensation. This is very important for me - I don't want to try "pre-alpha" ROMs and miss half the features of my smartphone.
I was really suprised how fast the ROM is working on my slightly outdated HTC in comparsion with my previous Android Revolution HD 6.8 Sense ROM.
The menues are responding fast and the apps are starting much faster than before. Beyond that the battery lifetime is significantly higher. Before I had to charge my phone's battery at the latest in the evening after having UMTS turned on the most time of the day and using WLAN in the evening (by night I'm using flight mode). With the new ROM my smartphone has to be charged after more than a day of using as described above.
Another cool feature is the full integration of GooManager which can be used for checking the smartphone for pending ROM or Google Apps updates. If updates are found, the manager downloads them for installing - using this you can spare the detour using the xda forums.
If you're looking for a performant and energy-saving Android 4.2.2 ROM, you might want to have a look at that ROM.
